Loie first found her love for live music aged 13 improvising with a jazz band at a small jam in West London. Her seductive and somewhat surreal sounds are a combination of jazz, soul, and R&B grooves. She plays guitar and jazz piano and is tactile in the studio, experimenting with layers of vocal harmonies to create ethereal and cinematic sonics. Born and raised in Brixton in a family of creatives, she grew up inspired by many sonics of the world from Calypso, 1920's Jazz to Neo-soul but naturally drew inspiration from the world’s most iconic storytellers and vocalist such as Sade, Jill Scott, Nina Simone, and Kate Bush.
