Description automatically generatedIf versatility is a poison, then kuiper (pron. kai-per) is like a toxin. Antipop artist, kuiper (formerly known as Zion Kim.) blends the boundaries of conventionality and existentialism within his lyricism and production to evoke brutal honesty and emotional vulnerability. The future is looking bright for the artist as they will be working with prominent names - stay tuned!

GET TO KNOW - completed April 2023

3 words to describe you:
versatile, explicit, honest

3 words to describe your music:
dichotomous, upbeat, intricate

If it does, how does your heritage impact your art?
I think there is a set of expectations that comes with being Korean, especially when you're a second generation Korean born in Canada while the rest of your family is first generation. I sometimes have a hard time seeing eye to eye with my parents, especially with them wanting me to pursue academics over my passion for the arts.  However, I take the pressures of these expectations and instead synthesize the emotions within my songs to evoke the passion I have for music which can be seen in my lyrics and my melodies.

If you could collaborate with anyone, who and why?
I would love to work with bixby and jayya because i honestly love their vibes and their lyricism. hopefully we can make that a reality some day!

Your next career/music goal:
I want to share the same stage with my labelmates and friends and hopefully someday move out with some of my labelmates!
