Describe the moment you knew that you wanted to pursue music:
Every moment since born, but especially the moments my fav songs/music videos from my fav artists were out

How does your heritage impact your art?
My parents are classical musicians/vocalists, especially they sing Chinese or Eastern operas and songs while they also sing songs in every language like what we learn in vocal lessons.

Chinese C-POP are most likely lyrical with harmonies in clear sequence but various changes. Personally I liked 00's pop and j-pop, grown up I found my favorite genres are R&B and Electronic music. That's why I write English songs.

Personally I think: Chinese R&B songs are a bit like old-school English R&B vibe with very lyrical/rhythmical progressions, especially we sing in characters with clear rhythms and pauses. And that makes my melodies more up-and-downs.

What moment are you most proud of in your music journey so far?
My dream when I was a kid: singing an OST for a game, or writing a song for my childhood idol singer, or having my voices recorded and generated to a virtual Singer/sound library like Hatsune Miku–– Has already come true in 2021.

Another dream was studying music production abroad and finish a master's, graduated 2022.

Then I've been growing up chasing my "another dreams and another dreams", register a company, write a musical, write music for fashion weeks…… I'm releasing my first concept album this year, and my first headline show is on the 16/6…… who knows next?

Your next music goal:
Music goal: Firstly do my first headline show successfully!

If you could collaborate with anyone, who and why?
If "anyone" then Jacob Collier and Robert Glasper…… My voice would be a fit to feature their songs trust me :) (hopefully, fingers crossed)

Tell us about a song that has shaped you and how:
get well soon - Ariana Grande

I was looping this song at least 500 times during my uni time. Was analysing her harmonic progressions and multi-layered vocals at the same time feeling the power of "You can work your way to the top", but when I realized the song is written to comfort people from the tragic accident happened years ago…… I was touch and feltlike I can also do something.

Then maybe, that's the real start of my R&B journey.

3 songs you're listening to right now:
RUNWAY - Lady Gaga, Doechii
Another Life - PinkPatheress
Heaven Can Wait - Michael Jackson
