3 words to describe you:
Lovely, loving, loved
3 words to describe your music:
Silly, jolly, Chinese
If it does, how does your heritage impact your art?
My music is dressed in Western genres' clothes, but the DNA within is constructed by Chinese music before the 90's.
Chinese tunes can be extremely mellow and sentimental, depicting the affectionate inner world of the Chinese, which dates back to the very beginning of our civilisation. In such music, I feel the pull to love, kindness and unity that is inside all beings. It is my genuine wish that my songs could evoke the same memory and serve the minds that are predestined to hear them.
If you could collaborate with anyone, who and why?
Teresa Teng. China and Japan would love to hear her sing again.
Your next career/music goal:
Release another 3 singles in the coming months and an EP in October.
Top 3 go to songs/artists:
Teresa Teng - 但願人長久
Chyi Yu - 橄欖樹
Michelle Pan - 天天天藍
Words you live by:
I am because we are.
