B-SHAF is the voice that represents a generation navigating faith, identity, and purpose.
Born and raised in Bolton, B-SHAF is a British Pakistani Muslim artist whose music breaks the mould. His tracks are built entirely from vocals and the daff drum—making his sound fully halal while still hitting just as hard as anything in the game.
In his first month on the scene, he’s already been chosen as Artist of the Week on BBC Asian Network, had a First Play on BBC Radio Manchester, and been featured in the Bolton News. He was also invited to perform live at Manchester Museum for South Asian Heritage Month—a reflection of how deeply his music resonates.
This is music, with meaning, without compromise.

3 words to describe you:
Describe your sound:
Think, Drake and J Cole had a kid which grew up in the north of England as a Muslim.
Describe the moment you knew that you wanted to pursue music:
At 13. But I stopped in 2015 then came back after 10 years as a halal rapper
How does your heritage impact your art?
There’s no separating my heritage from my music. The fact that I only make halal music means it’s hardwired into the DNA of it from the beat to the lyrics. All my beats use the daff drum and vocals and my lyrics are clean, positive, and real.
What moment are you most proud of in your music journey so far?
Becoming Artist of the week for BBC Asian Network.
Your next music goal:
Release my second music video, and further gain the trust of audiences whilst showing my versatility and a different sound from the last song.
If you could collaborate with anyone, who and why?
J Cole because I resonated with his music growing up more than anyone but also Drake because I always thought his tracks were the most sonically pleasing.
Lyrics you live by:
"My heart would turn pitch black and cold if I split with my girl
If I could giftwrap the globe, I’d give you the world"
(Premeditated Murder - J Cole)
