SHARES THE EXPERIENCES OF LIVING AWAY FROM HOME
A culmination of 13 genre-bending tracks, Rivita’s debut album “Snow Angels” reflects on her life and journey. Ranging from a pop banger like “Too Close” to intimate tracks “Someone Else’s Arms” and “Lonely with Someone” to more cinematic tracks “Taste Tears” and “Liquid,” the album flaunts Rivita’s musicality and style.
“This album is a testament of my growth as a writer and producer. I'm in love with the music I have created here. It’s been my dream ever since I was 11 years old to produce an album. I’ve written these songs in all different walks of life, I began writing “Is there anybody out there?,” when I was 14 years old and couldn’t figure out the full song until one day in my early 30’s the missing bit came to me, this song became a conversation between my younger self and the person I am today. This album has bridged many gaps for me spiritually, emotionally, and artistically.” States Rivita.
The title track “Snow Angels'' hits the heart hard. The song speaks about leaving home to go to University, having big hopes and dreams about walking into the world, and learning from all the experiences life had to offer. Speaking of the song Rivita states “This song stems from the time I was a University Student in London. It was the best time of my life, then I ended up moving and moving to many different places. This song sums up all the traveling I did, going back home on vacations and watching things change and all the places blending into one inside my head. I think every time I left, I was really excited about the people I would meet and finding the one! But as time rolled on, I became more aware of myself and came to a realization that maybe, the people or the person I’d been looking for externally were all right here with me. I am the one for me.”
Written, produced, and mixed by Rivita, the album was made in collaboration with 20+ musicians from across the world. Featuring soaring guitar solo from Ukrainian guitarist, Vitaliy Tkachuk on the song “Yet Another Day,” to a funky bass line played by Rivita’s friend Paul Tornbohm on “Speed Limit” the album floats across genres and showcases a world that Rivita has created.
