Growing up in a sleepy town, Henjila has forged herself as a rising alt-pop star to watch - gaining support from outlets such as BBC Introducing and Clash Magazine. Henjila has also been featured on multiple Spotify playlists including: 'Fresh Finds UK & Ire', 'peach' and 'Feelgood Indie'. Don't be fooled by the artist's hyper-fem vision - with influences ranging from barbie, Disney princesses to Amy Winehouse and Lily Allen - Henjila's writting is personal, powerful and sincere. Henjila's writing stems from personal experiences, including song, 'Yellow Face', which was written in response to the increased anti-Asian hate following covid. The artist has found music to be a comforting and healing outlet for herself and hopes that her music can be that for listeners too.
